How many children do you watch?
As per Henderson law- we watch 5 children at a time. I operate 24 hours to remain flexible for my parents- and schedule my ratios in advance. This is also why ALL DROP-INS must call before showing up. I also maintain specific age group ratios- but that I work out before any child is accepted into the day care.
Can I run a back ground check on you?
I currently have my Sherrif's Card which was renewed June 2008. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department- runs background check and also checks you through the Pedophile data base. They also only issue the card- with a valid state id and I also had to present my original birth certificate to obtain my card. Last but not least- they take finger prints and pictures (similar to mug shots) so I will be retained on file in their database. I will present all of my cards to every parent upon meeting them.
Are there any forms for me to fill out?
Upon being accepted into my daycare- you will receive a packet of information including:
~My Day Care Policy Handbook
~Emergency Release Form- (MUST BE COMPLETED)
~An About Your Child Form
~Policy Acknowledgment Form
Before starting day care I also need to see a copy of your child's shot records
I often go out of town for several days- can you accommodate my children?
YES, we often do overnights for parents that need to leave town for business or personal matters.
I do request if you leave state- that you provide a new emergency release form- NOTARIZED- with the dates you will be gone from town.
When do I pay for my day care charges?
The beginning of each day or at the beginning of each week. I will provide you with a signed receipt of our services. Please do not put us in an awkward position to ask for payment. If there are circumstances surrounding payment- arrangements must be made- BEFORE your child attends day care.
